I see a lot of minors posting photos of themselves on here as their avatar. Some are cute, some are normal, some are a bit "adult". Its the adult type ones I wonder about. Don't you worry that wierdo's are going to bother you? Do your parent know they are there? I only ask because I have a teen age daughter and I work in law enforcement and it just seems a bit risky. Theres a lot of strange and dangerous people on the internet that look for kids to bother in really bad ways. I'm not trying to preach, I just think that it attracts the wrong kind of adults (aka pedophiles and freaks) and you guys should be careful. Why do you show, or know anyone who does, photos of yourself when you are underage?

I'm not under 18, but I totally agree and your point is very well addressed. I'm glad there are still parents out there that actually care about what their children are doing online. I think it's crazy how kids are often neglected when it comes to things such as these.

Why? Because how many myspaces, facebooks, and friendsters are there in the world? It's not like some guy is going to RANDOMLY pick your ID code.
As for the adult pictures, I think it's because they are trying to turn people on. I think it's retarted, I mean I'm not going to stick a camera down my pants for everyone to see. However, parents usually don't know about it.

I am in 100% agreement with you. I think that kids or
anyone else should use the avatars. Someone might
recognize someone and start stalking. I saw a girl with
her picture that reminded me of my granddaughter--but
younger. It's not her and if it were, I would tell her to use
an avatar and to be careful. With all the pedophiles, don't
they think that anything can happen to them. I find this

There was an eleven year old on here on evening bragging that her Mother didn't know. Other sites they put full length pics of themselves on there. Parents need to check in with their children more and lock out the computer when they are not home.

one girl put a sky view of her neighborhood and house on here. (p & S) she asked if it was a rich area or just normal.. Grrrrr. My answer to her was please delete the question for safty reasons and she emailed me a very nasy letter .. I blocked her now but man, I highly doubt the parents know half the things they are doing on the pc. with cams and stuff.
Can't blame this site though because there are too many others that are worse. my space is real bad.

I wonder that too, but I have to agree with the comment about myspace especially since most of them tell their lifes story in their profiles as well.
