Adalberto's on Rosecrans next to the Shell station across from the old RTC in San Diego. A close second is Roberto's in Rancho Bernardo in Bernardo Center Plaza. Honorable mention goes to Santana's on Rosecrans in Point Loma.

Well, since Taco Bell has gotten me sick the last two times I've eaten there, I'd have to say Del Taco's the better taco joint, hands down...

...out of the two popular, national chains.

EDIT: AMEN SS!! I love Chipotle! I never considered it as a taco place, because all I've ever gotten is their burritos, but it definitely wins in the burrito / taco category. I have been going to Chipotle every Friday for the last two years. What I love about their food is that I don't feel fat after eating it. I feel contentedly full.

Well, if you want real mexican, a real mexican restaurant has the best tacos. Taco Bell sucks, unless you are eating their refried beans "pintos and cheese" or nachos and cheese. Taco John's is much better than Taco Bell. I worked at Taco John's for 4 years... we actually cooked our meat fresh and fry our taco shells. Yum! Taco Bell's meat comes precooked. Yuck!
