They are 3 time zones apart, each is 1 hour difference.
Eastern, Central, Mountain, & Pacific, Standard Time.
Earth rotates from west to east, sun rises in east sets west.
So dawn comes earlier on the east coast than west coast.
It doesn't matter whether it's morning or evening.
The time is 3 hours less (earlier).

There's no such thing as east central time nor Pacific central time.. California is on Pacific daylight time now and New Jersey is on Eastern daylight time now. Calif. is 3 hours earlier than New Jersey.

2-3 hour differece....either 2 or 3 pm. it depends which time zone your'e in.
