It is very simple. See the table below.
12 inches = 1 foot
3 feet = 1 yard
220 yard = 1 furlong
8 furlong = 1 mile
This shows that one mile = 5280 feet
(1 x 8 x 220 x 3 = 5280)
Now, let us convert "30 miles / hour" into feet and second.
(30 x 5280) / 3600= 158400 / 3600 = 44 feet per sec
Hence, 30 mph = 44 ft/sec

There are 3600 seconds per hour.(60 per minute multiplied by 60 minutes in an hour).
Now convert 30 miles into feet.
I mile is equal to 5280 feet, so 30 miles = 158400 feet.
Divide 158400 by 3600 = 44 feet per second

Well, lets see.
There are 5280 feet in a mile.
There are 3600 seconds in an hour.
5280 X 30=158400(feet)
158400/3600 = 44 feet per second.
It's the old school way, but I believe it's right...???

Multiply by equivalents units.
30miles/hour
= ((30 mile) / (1 hour)) * (5280 feet / 1 mile ) * (1 hour / (60 * 60) second) -- (mile and hour are gone after cancelling)
= ((30 * 5280) feet) / (3600 second)
= 44 feet/second

find how many feet my hour which is 30*1760*3
then divide by 3600
so 30/3600=1/120
1/120*3=1/40
then 1760/40
=176/4
=88/2
=44

30miles/hr x 5280/60/60=44fps OR:
30x5280=158,400feet per hour.
158,400/60 = 2,640 feet per minute
