We only have elections for homecoming queen, the guide lines say it must be a female student. we however do not have a free election of homecoming king. we have a fund raiser call Mr Wildcat, in which the winner is the one who receives the most monetary donations, therefore not everyone in the school gets to place their votes. there is not any set limit to how much one can give, therefore all "votes" are not equal. it is also not sponsored by the school but by the cheerleaders, whom get to keep the money. is this legal? do i have a argument to run? would a lawyer help me fight this case of sexist inequalities?

i forgot to mention i live in the Southeast US which is racist and sexist, and would be highly upset if i took this to court, as it would make them look to be the horrible people they are. i am a straight male and i am doing this to prove a point. the student council wont talk about it so i my have to seek some other source.

Well you could always put on a dress and enter the race in drag. If they don't allow you to enter the race you could threaten to sue the school system for sexual discrimination. My question is why would you want to be homecomming queen? Exactly what point are you trying to prove? If you're "straight" what will you winning homecomming queen prove? I'm also curious where in the "South east" do you live?

LOL At my High School, (way back when),
the sheer audacity would have carried the day!

In todays "politically correct" climate, you might
have some fun with the local 'racist and sexist`
power structure, but it could be dangerous.

a lawyer will argue any case if you pay them enough. Start at the student body meetings. Chances are your not dealing with sexist inequalities, just tradition
