I cant get a connection from my lap top to my wireless router it was working fine but I think a setting got changed and now i cant get it to connect, thanks

Connect with a ethernet wire instead, then you can log into the router and see what you settings should be.

While you are connected with an ethernet wire, check for updates to your router. These should always be done only while directly connected.

Depending on the router you have, it may have a reset button on it.. Mine is a linksys, and if I hold the reset button for about 30 seconds, all settings go back to factory defaults.. The passwords and usernames included.. On the linksys, leave the username blank and enter 'admin' in the password area.. Just remember to make your laptop search for wireless connections(you should now see one named 'Linksys' and then you can log-in, or change the ssid on your laptop back to 'linksys', which is the default.. This will definitely work if you have a linksys. The steps are close to the same thing for other brands as well, just the passwords are different, like netgear uses adminadmin, if I am remembering correctly.. good luck

I have found, through experience, that if you delete the bad connection and create a new one then that usually solves the problem.
