Was messing round with my CPU and took it out. Dell e310 also did it with my emachines t4060. Is the thermal paste toxic and can get absorbed into the skin? I washed my hands afterwards. And what about in some GPU coolers on video cards. took heatsink off of a GFX 5200 and got the thermal paste on my hand.

Toxic? Highly doubtful. It is mostly inert silicone grease. A specialty one, AS-5 has silver. May probably cause allergy to a few individuals.

Nothing too toxic about it unless you have a specific allergy, or if you eat enough to clog your intestines.
