He came for dinner and was very talkative. He didn’t allow me to finish speaking a thought, but interrupted. I patiently waited while he talked and finished what he was saying. There wasn’t much two-way conversing because he wanted to speak a lot.

His family doesn’t listen to him or allow him to speak his thoughts. Maybe he was dumping that anger on me. I hated it when he forcefully spoke of his ideas and refused to allow me to speak. He is very angry with his brother and his sister.

He wants me to connect his computer and organize all the cords (which he says he can’t do and the disorganized cords bother him). He said the relationship is without strings, so he wants me to come voluntarily. I don’t want to go after feeling so frustrated because I wasn't listened to in my own home.

I'm asking if this is a set up to do something impossible; he has a desktop computer. My own desktop has a mass of cords.

Don't go. He is only using you like he did in your marriage. He controlled you then and still is trying to control your life. Now he wants to be nice and have you come over to fix his cords. Yes. It is still all about him. Right?

Stop letting him in. He needs to figure out how to connect his own computer without running to you.
