the love of money is the root of all evil. money is just a tool to be used to spread the gospel message, feed the hungry, help the poor, and give to the community. i'd say you have no idea all the good things churches do with money. if you dont like what the church does with there money, go buy a homeless guy a sandwich and quit bein a hater.

I'm agnostic but the love of money roots evil, not the physical entity of money itself.
Churches collect tithes and donations to keep the Church going, to provide the pastors with a living, to maintain the building and to help their members in need, or to help the poor.

Greed for money is the root of all evil, and churches who have greed for it have corrupt leaders. However, everyone has to have money in order to live in this world, so most churches want it out of necessity.

Money is NOT evil. Money IS THE ROOT of all evil. When money is used wisely great things happen. Pastors are supposed to tell their members to pay their tithes. God wants us to pay our tithes. Just do your part and don't worry about nothing else. If some church is trying to scam you then God will deal with them.

The love of money is the root of all evil. Churches don't necessarily love it--they have to have it, same as everyone else.

a lot of human beings have instructed you the recommendations-blowing quote. i will now supply you a short checklist of issues that church homes do with your tithe. This checklist isn't all inclusive and does variety. some workforce are paid. they don't seem to be getting wealthy from their salaries. nicely, maximum do no longer. maximum. maximum church homes (that i understand of in any case) tithe from the tithe. this means area of your donation is going to the interior sight workplace for issues like church planting, etc. additionally, area of your tithe probable is going to a venture someplace. according to probability even greater advantageous than one. Then there are issues like the loan, electric powered, warmth, air con, water (for the restroom), and in case you attend a greater church, they might have a kitchen the place they prepare (or supply you to prepare your own) snack whilst they have super conferences. to no longer point out espresso and the sundries that accompany (no longer inexpensive), they probable have doughnuts on Sunday mornings too. What if the greater youthful human beings group is going on outings? they choose a church van, which has maintenance; plus gasoline, oil, wiper fluid - each and all the failings your automobile desires. as nicely, maximum church homes positioned up (fairly brazenly) their working funds on a general foundation. you additionally can attend the conferences the place they be sure how lots is going to pay which charges. church homes actual have as difficult a time as maximum families do - and by ability of that I mean they "stay" month to month. So, maximum of them do no longer deserve the accusation some right here have made out of being grasping. It purely isn't so.

Money is just money. It can be used for good (supporting your family, or for helping the poor and needy) or for bad (exploiting it or for exploiting people who have less of it because you have more of it).

The issue is the "love of money" is the root of all evil, and "love of money" means greed, and its priority over other things in life, like ethics, care about people, etc...like Mr. Scrooge did...

The Pastor needs to eat too, a small part of it supports his or her income, and the necessary funds to pay for the property, heating, maintenance, security, insurance, etc...Many churches also re-distribute funds to poor people in other countries and charities that help people overcome diseases, and earthquakes, etc...

Money itself is not necessarily evil, it can just as well be a way to share, a way to show support and care, in modern economies, its necessary means of living in our society.

Just don't prejudge that all churches are one way or another. Most are probably good, but sure, beware of anyone who puts you down and brags about his private plane and demanding money so he can buy his own private jet instead.
I've seen one visiting pastor who did just that.
I stopped going to THAT church, and found a better church and made really good friendships instead.

Money is the root of all evil, when used for evil purposes. Nothing can be sustained in this world without currency. Tithing is giving back to God what He has already given you.
