The Red Sox only have to take 2 out of 3 this weekend. Of course a sweep by the Red Sox would be nice because then the Yankees would either be 71/2 or 81/2 out depending on the outcome of the Yankee-Blue Jays game tonight.

RED SUX won't sweep the YANKEES...u must be dreaming to think that the sux will win all 5 games, cuz that juz won't happen!!! this 5 game series between this 2 teams are tough..wat ever the conclusion is, the YANKEES still ROCK!!! but I kno the SUX will sweep by the ROYALS again....prepare for that losers!

You Yankee fans make me want to vomit. Get the pinstripe-colored glasses off and give us an objective answer other than "NO WAY, CUZ THE RED SUX SUCK. YO, VINNIE, GET ME A PASTRAMI!!!"
At any rate, I think this series can go either way. The way Dice-K has pitched lately, Friday frightens me (it figures, the only game I'm going to).
Wang/Beckett could go either way, and I like our chances with a banged-up Clemens on the hill Sunday.
I say the Red Sox take two. To answer the question, yes, the Red Sox could sweep...or be swept. Each team is capable, but it'll take a lot of hard work and luck.

The Red Sox can out-pitch the yanks, and it'll take 3 great starts for the Red Sox rotation to keep their hots bats quiet over the weekend. The run support they've provided in the TB series, shows the Red Sox are in the game no matter what the scord.

Don't like either team but like Boston a lot less than the Yankees. I hate to say it though. Boston may not sweep but will take the series. Hope I'm wrong.
