It's a very big city and very fast paced. You could get lost and or robbed if you're not careful. Other then that it's not all that bad as there are some friendly people ans well as some rude people but that's pretty much everywhere you go.

I've been to N.Y.C. a couple of times when I was a kid and you almost can not help but look up to try to see the top of the buildings, and you can't, because they are hidden in clouds sometimes, you walk down the street and on either side of you are these skyscrapers and it's like being in a canyon. I imagine some people who are not used to it might get a little claustrophobic.
