Did your employer lose money or business due to your no call/ no show? They're probably arguing that they money they are holding is being used to off-set their liquidated damages. However, you are probably entitled to the entire sum.

they can hold the check until the next regular payday,,you can get it then,,they are not allowed to hold beyond this unless you just choose to pick it up at later date
