This is my question: Once you reach your "unit ceiling" (the max number of class units your University allows you to take on your first visit and stay at the University), is it possible to petition to them to let you take more units or to leave for a certain period of time and come back shortly after to take more classes?

If you need further clarification, then please let me know, thanks.

Autif

In response to 1st answer:

Well, this is my 1st semester at the school and I will be done with my bachelor's in a total of 3 semesters; however, I want to go up to a Master's plus a CPA test, which is seperate from my current field of study and then, go back to my current field of study, in which I will continue taking classes of interest.

I would say the big question is, "Are you making progress toward a degree?" Generally, if a university has a unit ceiling, they don't want you hanging out there endlessly if you aren't actually matriculating (keep in mind that schools are evaluated for their ability to graduate students within a certain period of time). So if you were admitted for a degree program, but have been using the opportunity to take a stream of endless courses which don't fulfill requirements for a degree, they might have reached their limit with you. They probably won't let you back in, since they suspect you will continue to do the same thing if they allow you back.
