Go to the control panel, open "User Accounts" Click on an account, and it will let you add a password.
If it is not your computer, you might expect some comments from other users.

If you're speaking of a login pwd, they can, in some OS's, hit cancel and bypass this. This is by no means the only way. Try Cont. Panel>Security? for an instant password screen. Comes on as soon as you hit the power. Although if it's not yours you best leave it alone. Your parents would be more apt to pry if you did this!!!

Go to:
Start > Run
then type in
control
then press enter
then click on
User Accounts
then click on your account
then choose "create a password"

If you want a more secure way, use the password for your BIOS, that is a little more secure, yes you can screw that one too, but if you're not computer savy, you might be secure.

1st Go to START
2nd Go to CONTROL PANEL
3rd Go to USER ACCOUNTS
4th Go to the little icon that says USER ACCOUNTS
5th Click on YOUR ACCOUNT
6th Click on CRREATE PASSWORD.
hope u figure it out,but make sure u remember it though

what if you forget the password then you cant even use the
computer,i forgot my password once,never used onother one since.
