2x + 5 = x+1
x = -4

2x + 5 = -x-1
3x = -6
x=-2

check:
2(-4)+5
|-8+5| = |-3| = 3
3 = -4 +1
doesn't check

2(-2) +5
|1| = -1

doesn't check

no solution

as I2x+5I>=0 x+1>=0 and x >=-1
as for x>=-1 2x+5>0 the only equation is
2x+5=x+1
so x=-4 which canÂ´t be
so there is NO solution
