If you are asking about contact lenses, water will not hurt them. The problem is that water will allow them to float off of your eyes, and you will lose them! If you are in a swimming pool, the chemicals in the pool are also not good for your lenses!

If you are going swimming, it is best to remove your contact lenses first.

(I know it is a pain, I wore glasses and / or contacts for years and hated not being able to see when swimming! I had LASIK this spring and now enjoy the beach and pool more!)

I'm a swimmer and had contacts or five years and spent hours in the pool and I have yet to lose a contact. Just remember to try not to open your eyes under water for too long which may cause them to fall out. Also wear goggles if swimming.
