I wouldn't discredit the side of you that worries. What if last year you had a teacher who didn't teach you what you really needed to know to be prepared for this year? Or what if you had an "easy marker"? Now this year, you get a teacher who marks like she or he should AND is expecting what you SHOULD know how to do....(but you don't because you had a mediocre teacher last year)...Get what I'm saying?

I think that would spell trouble. You'd better talk to your teacher and find out what the score is because the situation I described above is more common than you think...at all grade levels.

A year or so ago there was a show on tv about this very problem. On the show, "A" students from one school in a particular city were moving to other cities or transferring to other schools and were not only unable to get an "A" in math, but found out they were at least a grade level behind.

I'm not saying this is you, but IF it is, you'd better get a handle on it now, before its too late.

You should listen to both. If you apply yourself, don't spend all your free time on Yahoo Answers, Myspace, etc., then you'll pass with flying colors. Also, schools have tutoring help so if you just don't get it you can go there. Also, don't be afraid just to ask your teacher to help you, everyone needs help. No one's perfect. I'm a straight A student and a top student in math, too, and I even ask my teacher what the problem(s) are asking.

Both ... good that you have confidence but make sure your not slacking due to the fact you think your passing ... go for some tutoring ... refresh the piece of mind that brings math answers in an instant lol ..... practice again ... time off of school can take some brilliance away .... dont forget to rest the brain too .....

I had the same problem you do when i was in school. The way i took care of it is STUDY and ask for help. Put your mind to it you can accomplish anything.. I would listen to both. Good luck!!

I think you could easily get your grade up if you put in the work, but with that being said... Past effort (grades) are often an indicator for future effort and success. So it is really up to you... are YOU going to make the change?
