Figuratively not literally.

Can anyone give me motivation to study harder in math and english? This is a serious question (unlike my last one).

In 2 years time you will realise you wasted the time given to you,. because your friends are all getting great jobs.
In 10 yrs time you will "kick" yourself that you didn't follow up on opportunities that presented themselves, you haven't been overseas yet, and your income is still below your expectations. Your wife left you for a studious man who had more to give her.
In 15 years time you will know what a fool you were when you were young and the world was an open book, available, and totally there for your taking and enjoying, and you are still in the same job, because you haven't learnt to study and apply yourself.
In 50 years time, it probably will matter more because you will be living off the state and have no life comforts.
In 74 years time you will sit in your rocking chair and say I wish I had...... because your body will be racked and ruined because you have not looked after yourself, because you didn't have the income, because you didn't get the great jobs, because you didn't want to study.
In 85 years time it probably won't matter because you will be dead, and you will get to the pearly gates, and your life will roll past you in a flash, and you will know it could have been so much more.
A life wasted.
Motivated yet.

Eventually it will stick (become clear to you) and knowledge is power.

One needs to master their own language to be taken seriously in professional settings and math is all about logic- understanding math makes decisions easier in life and helps avoid being taken advantage of.

I.e.: basic algebra if a = b and b=c than a = c. If all factors do not line up, one needs to ask himself why? it is the questions that you seek out that will make you understand more.

I.e.: basic ratio's teaches us to look at the same results in a different way. If you ever second guess yourself, put the problem in ratio form and figure it out.

If you want to go somewhere good in your life and be successful and make big money, get good grades in school and get involved in any type of club at high shcool and also record all the community service you do in high shcool. Then, you will have a good chance of getting in a good college, where you get a good education so you be RICH after college graduation!! Do you feel better now?

I have the same problem. But I am working through it. I know it's hard but you REALLY have to push yourself. Try limiting your television time or something else you like. Then you'll have something to look forward too!

Because, the world is your oyster and to get ahead in this world you need a good solid education. Everything counts this grade will determine your work ethic and how you will do in other courses. prove it to yourself. prove it to yourself that you can do it.
