It's a matter of attitude. Your life can be complicated, hell in fact, yet you could be happy, or you could be uptight and stressed. It all depends on the attitude you adopt in regards to your situation. You can whine and cry and battle the world, or you can find the humor in it all and let it roll right off your back.

Which person do you think will live a longer, happier life?

Its the journey. Some people have had exhausting, testing, emotional journeys in their lives. Some who have fallen off the cliff in their lives and have gotten back up. It was paths that some have taken. Whether it be by choice, or not. These people may have faced different challenges in their lives while others haven't. To these people some tasks are easier to go through, while those who haven't faced these same hardships, find it more difficult to get through these times. This can go both ways. I believe its the journey in peoples lives that can complicate or simplify ones life.

if you are fatalist and pessimist you going to complicate your life for sure, but, if you face life with a positive and enthusiast attitude you will have a simple and quiet life

Boredom. People who can tolerate, accept and enjoy boredom are able to have simple lives.

Those who cannot need a lot of chaos to avoid the boredom.
