Do you also sometimes star some you don't answer and some that are already finished answering?

Myself, I do All of the above. But naturally not every Q I answer!

Or do you never star or very rarely, and if not do you mind me asking Why?

When I star a question, it is usually one that I think my contacts might find interesting as well, so I want to draw their attention to it (regardless of whether I have answered it or not). Sometimes I also star questions that I think are interesting when I don't have time to answer it right then, but I want to make it easy to find again later.

There are some questions that I star even though I'm not answering or planning to answer, because maybe I don't know the answer or do not feel comfortable answering it on here, but I star it in case one or more of my contacts might like to answer it.

I star most Q's I answer plus add them to my watch list. I do it primarily to easily find them again and see how others have answered and perhaps to give a "thumbs up" or a "thumbs down". Also I star open Q's, mostly those I have answered, or those I am especially interested in, so I can vote on "Best Answer" or to see who received "Best Answer" from either the person who posted the Q or by receiving the most votes before the voting period closed. I also check out Q's starred by my network, because I figure I might be interested in the same ones, too, and I suspect that others in my network might be interested in ones I star. If it's a Q I'm especially interested in, I might leave the star, so I can easily refer back to it; but I invariably take a Q off my watch list after I have voted on best answer or after it is resolved. My stars remain only on Q's I might want to refer back to.

I'm very particular and selective about who gets a Star from me.

That Gold Star must be earned by virtue of the fact that the Question be an interesting one that I feel would appeal to the entire community and therefore is eligible to get the
"Star treatment" or, perhaps it's my own personal reward for presenting me with an interesting and thought-provoking Question.

I star questions that I want to draw my contacts attention to, I also star question to show that I read the question, but didn't answer because there were already enough good answers given. and next I star question that I do not have time to answer and want to come back to.
I also star questions that I find interesting.
however with the new system of rating I will now start staring questions of those that need some encouragement.

I only Star when I want my contacts to consider answering the question also... I know that only 3 show on their list at a time... so I try to limit myself to just 3 per visit.

Peace.

I supply stars very sparingly.. this is purely to the questions i detect truly exciting, or i desire to ascertain back later to work out what some solutions are to the question (through fact i did no longer have an answer myself) or i had to work out what others remark approximately. i do no longer supply stars to human beings i understand- that interest is purely stupid. I supply a megastar to very recommendations-blowing questions purely. Which has been 29 stars over the direction of two+ years.

I don't think that I've ever starred anything but if I did, it would be because I really thought that the question was something to look into or if it was something that I was wondering myself.

I star any question that seems to resonate. It is usually a question that took some thought and really requires a serious answer, but not always.
