Knowing my luck, I'd probably shoot myself in the foot.
There's a really cool song by Concrete Blond, called "God is a Bullet'' Here are the lyrics:

There's a green plaid jacket on the back of the chair
It's like a moment frozen forever there

Mom and dad had a lot of big plans for their little man
So proud!
Mama's gone crazy 'cause her baby's shot down
By some teenage car chase war out of bounds
It was the wrong place wrong time wrong end of a gun.
Sad!

Shoot straight from the hip, yeah.
Gone forever in a trigger slip
Well, it could have been
It could have been your brother.
Shoot straight shoot to kill, yeah.
Blame each other, well, blame yourselves, you know
God is a bullet have mercy on us everyone

They're gonna call me sir they'll all stop picking on me
Well I'm a high school grad I'm over 5 foot 3
I'll get a badge and a gun and I'll join the P.D.
They'll see
He didn't have to use the gun they put in his hand
But when the guy came at him, well he panicked and ran
And it's a thirty long years 'fore they're givin' him another chance
And it's sad, sad, it's sad

Shoot straight from the hip, yeah.
Gone forever in a trigger slip
Well, it could have been
It could have been your mother.
Shoot straight shoot to kill, yeah.
Blame each other, well, blame yourselves, you know
God is a bullet have mercy on us everyone

Shoot straight from the hip, yeah.
Gone forever in a trigger slip
Well, it could have been
It could have been your mother.

John Lennon, Doctor King, Harvey Milk
all for goddamn nothing

God is a bullet have mercy on us everyone
God is a bullet have mercy on us everyone

Hi,
If wishes were pistols I'd give everything my best shot and my best wishes!
I'd set my sights on specific targets and aim always to be true. I would not fire haphazardly or without having anything to aim for as that would be such a waste of valuable ammunition. I'd only be shooting myself in the foot if I didn't appreciate the asset I had in my pistol and didn't learn how to use it properly.
Great to have you back. We missed you. Best wishes,
Polly

If wishes were pistols my aim would be so true and hit the mark everytime. I did once shoot at a rattlesnake and the bullet his a cement block and almost killed my neighbors cow though

My aim is true...but then at the last moment this guy grabs for my pistol and then there is no telling where that bullet is going to go...but usually it ends up in my heart...wish it was just in my foot...

Well they do say that you should be careful what you wish for so that would mean alot of sore feet lol.

My aim is always true when I wish upon a star at night and when times are troubled.

I think I'd be a bit of both.

My wishes for other people would be true. Wishes for myself, well I'd probably not have feet left by the end of it. Hehe.

Very interesting Question. The best I've seen so far.

Wishful thinking may not propel the wish with enough speed to land on the target. (risk of self injury).

Take action and pull the trigger...the aim is true.

Shoot for the stars!
