2002 Yamaha R6 gas smell?

Is it normal for a Yamaha to have a gas smell after the engine is turned off and parked. It is a carbed engine. It seems to run fine

That does sound normal as the carborator may still have a bit of gas in it after you've turned the engine off. If it still smells the next day or smells while riding then it may be an issue worth looking into. However, it sounds like your bike is running properly, and you didn't mention any fluid leaks on the ground after parking.
