My name is Angel and even though I get jokes about it I love it and would never change it. I think changing your name is a personal decision. My hubby was named after his Dad, he's a III and he hates it b/c he never knew his Dad, he's always wanted to change it but never has. We don't call him by his real name but a nickname and when we got married we put his nickname on the invitation.

-I used to hate my name growing up, bc I thought it sounded like a boy name and nobody else spelled their name that way. But now, I like it. It's unique.
-I would never change my first name, but when I get married I'll change my last name.
-If people change their name, that is their option, I wouldn't unless I had a really bad sounding name. ☺

I hate my name is really common.
I would change my last name if I get married and his is pretty cool, not tradition I'm just bored of mine.
People go through a lot of work to change their names if they want to do it, let them. But Please don't call yourself Princess Consuela Banana Hammock.

I love my name, except for my last name. My last name was given to me by my adoptive father at the age of 15 1/2 (when they adopted me), and I hate my adoptive father deeply. I will eventually change my last name back to what it's supposed to be; what it originally was.

I like the meaning of my name (Dwells in an Ash Tree-meadow)

If I did, it would be my last name (I'd add my mother's maiden name to my last name)
But I do like the name Pepper, for myself.

I don't mind, I kind of think "But your name is your identity!", except that, since it is our identity, we should go by the name we feel suits us. However, it is the first major part of our life given to us by our parents, so I guess its kind of cool to respect that (hey, thats where nicknames come in handy).
