i really can't figure this out. i feel so stupid because it's intermediate school math. here is the problem:

I am a number that is 19 tens and 9 hundreds greater than 389. What number am i?

any help would be greatly appreciated! i seriously need help...thank you in advance.

haha, oh my goodness thank you all for your answers. believe it or not i got 1308. haha,i did 919+389. thanks again. aloha! oh, and darn i don't know who to choose as best answer so i guess this is going into voting.

19 tens=190
9 hundreds=900
So, simply add 389 + 190 + 900 = 1,479

you would just add 190 and 900 to 389. so the answer would be 1479.

PLUS
9 hundreds= 900
EQUALS 1090 (so) 389
PLUS 1090
your answer 1479
