ok, the formula to find a midpoint is :
(X1+X2) divided by 2, (that's going to be the X-coordinate of the midpoint), (Y1+Y2) divided by 2 (that's going to be the Y coordinate of your midpoint).

In your first problem, the (-2, 2) is going to stand for (X1, Y1). The (4, -1) is going to stand for (X2, Y2). so you just replace the numbers into the formula.

(X1+X2) divided by two turns into (-2+4) divided by two. (-2+4) is equal to 2. then you divide that by two, and the answer is 1. that is the X coordinate of your midpoint.

(Y1+Y2) divided by two becomes (2+ -1) divided by two. (2+ -1) equals 1. divide that by two, and the answers is 0.5(or you can just leave it as 1 over 2).

So, the midpoint for the first question is (1, 0.5)

formula is (x+x)/2 , (y+y)/2
example
(-2,2) and (4,-1)
(-2+4)/2 and (2+-1)/2 = (1, 0.5)

(1, 0.5)
(-0.5, 0)
(-1, 1.5)
(1, 1)
