Terrorists have the ability to destroy a building or two and kill a bunch of people in one place. In my opinion that puts them on about the same scale as petty murderers and arsonists.

I don't understand why people are so afraid of them and even think that they could kill everyone in the US. Do they have an army? NO. Do they have great capabilities? NO. Are they pathetic? definitely.

At least people are no longer constantly asking if I want to die. We seem to be getting a little better.

What do you think?

Have you considered the fact that terrorists are willing to kill themselves just to kill you? That separates them from petty murderers and arsonists. People have just as much fear of school shooters or people who go on shooting sprees anywhere for that matter. It is the mindset that someone is so devoted to the cause of killing people that they are willing to die in the process. It scares people and rightfully so.

Well done, Mr Keeping-Things-In-Proportion.
I wasn't worried about the Afghan navy steaming up the English Channel a couple of years ago, when we first sent our lads in there to give Johnny Towelhead a good thrashing, so why worry now?
I turned up every day for work in the 1980s in the City of London, while the IRA were playing silly buggers with car bombs and suchlike and I got promoted so ha ha ha to the lot of them.
Bin Laden? Rich **** with a rubbish camcorder, I say.

I mean actually they do capabilities & armies. But what defines a terrorist? Nowadays its all middle easterns but truly there are American terrorists today you know? Terrorists come from all over the world. But I agree with you in saying theres no point in fearing them, just like there is no point in fearing getting attacked by a shark. Maybe it will happen, if it does what will you do? You might as well live today.

I'm not sure if you are being serious comparing terrorists to "petty" murderers?
I hope you are joking...

Do you realize how many people terrorists kill at once? (Did I mention innocent people?) September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 people lost their lives because of some body's religious views. Not to mention the countless bombs set off in countries all over the world that kill thousands of people.

They may not kill us all, but they will break our hearts and kill our loved ones for years to come.

Terrorists have been trying for years to get their hands on a nuke (presumably to blow up inside a major city). If a nation that supports terrorism, such as Iran, goes nuclear, then what's to stop terrorists from getting their hands on a nuke?

The threat is more serious than you think.

I don't worry about being raped, murdered, held up etc... If you live your life in fear you're not living. I'm aware that something bad could befall me, but I don't waste my time being paranoid about it.

One reason all of us isn't as interested in guy or woman freedoms would desire to be that the final public is becoming further and further infant like. I be conscious usual how grown adult males and females human beings are not any further mature than a youngster and not greater able to looking after themselves. it truly is annoying how few in charge adults there are left in this county. i think of it comes from becoming up too speedy in this speedy paced society the place 13 3 hundred and sixty 5 days olds take drugs and have intercourse. those teenagers in no way totally mature into actual adult males and females human beings. they are perpetual infants in person bodies with person household projects. nicely, infants choose, seek for out training and discipline. regardless of in the event that they reject their own discern’s rules they nonetheless choose order and rules to function usual. so they seem to no longer the relatives yet to the government for his or her shape. They place their lives interior the palms of others through fact they are unwilling and no longer able to deal difficult problems of existence on their own. of direction that's purely my commentary, i'd desire to be incorrect. P.S. as far as i understand U.S. voters nonetheless have the recommendations-blowing of Habius Corpus. in case you recognize of an incident the place somebody grew to become into denied the skill to handle a courtroom with reference to the lawfulness of their detention than you ought to bypass that suggestion directly to bill O’Reilly (through fact I even have heard him ask for it) or another information enterprise for study.

I am amazed that the American people cowered in fear of terrorism. I can't believe how the press fed this fear with headlines that might as well have read 'The Sky Is Falling!'.

The color coding system?

Give me a break.

Why are Americans so willing to trade freedom for security?

I'm not scared of terrorists at all. It's the useless liberals who enable the terrorists to come into our country in the first place who really scare me.
