The birth of my first child was probably one of the worst pains I've ever experience. I was only 20 years old. I found out while on the delivery table that I was having the baby natural. He was a big boy, almost 10 lbs. I was in labor 15 VERY long hours.

A really nasty burn, made a bad mistake with an old gas oven that you had to light manually every time around. Somebody turned it on after throwing in a pizza but they didn't light it; eventually I noticed the pizza so I lit the oven with my Bic. By then the gas had been on for about ten minutes, collecting inside the oven. This huge ball of super-hot blue flame just shot out at me,totally encompassing my left hand. Now that was pain. I had keep my hand in a bucket of ice for three days before I could even try to get any sleep. It was a typical trashy first apartment, the kind of place only a 19 year old boy would live in.

It's not childbirth or surgeries. It's not even the brain anuerism. I severed my achilles tendon and I can still feel the piece of metal cutting into my foot. My scream scared the heck out of my cat. I was taking out the trash using a wagon and it caught up with me. The yoke at the bottom of the handle was what cut my foot. Never take out the trash with a wagon.

Er...it's caught between smacking my head on the back door, then doing it again through the front door, or fainting at magic mountain. If you mean emotionally, when my grandma was in the hospital.

Waking up from my c-section in the intensive care unit to find out I have tubes coming out of every part of my body. There were many complications and I was hurting for days. But the bright spot is the beautiful little girl I had in the nursery. Every hour they would bring her in for me to see. I couldn't hold her for several days but just seeing her made me feel so much better.
