My school is performing Seussical the Musical, and I'm looking for a song for my audition for the part of Mayzie La Bird. Any ideas for an eighth grade girl with a fairly large (but MEZZO, keep in mind) vocal range?

MANY thanks.

here are some choices that might work....

1. somewhere thats green from little shop of horrors

2. taylor the latte boy or the girl in 14-g by kristin chenoweth(the girl in 14-g involves a little bit of opera, so if you dont have a problem with that, it is probably the best chioce because it can really showcase your talent)

3. something from annie

4.something from hairspray

5.memory from cats.

6.for good from wicked

you can find numerous performances of all of these songs on youtube. break a leg!!!

If you are going out for Mabel you should be able to handle "Getting Married Today" from "Company." That's an incredibly impressive audition song.
