Question about downgrading my 3.03 psp to 1.50?

ok i have gta lcs unpatched so now what do i do?

can u please give me a link where i can fidn all the information you need to know about downgrading the psp and all the risks please io would really appreciate it. and also i would like to know what a pandoras battery is. thanks

you need to download these files to your pc:

3.03 downgrader

you need winrar to un rar the files. go to http://www.downloads.com search for WINRAR. once you download it, click it to start the installation process.

once that is completed, go to the rar files, right click them and select 'extract here'.

take the 1.5eboot.pbp and rename it to UPDATE.pbp (in all caps).

after you rename it right click on it and select 'copy'

start your usb connection... on your pc, go to MY COMPUTER or COMPUTER in the start menu or desktop.

click 'removable disk'

next, click PSP>GAME>UPDATE and right click a blank spot and select PASTE.

next, click the 3.03 downgrader.. get to the MS_ROOT folder.. open it.. inside, highlight all of the files by clicking on a blank spot on the page and dragging the mouse over the files, then hitting ctrl c or right click and hit COPY.

these files go on the root of your memory stick (NOT MP_ROOT) the root is where all the folders are located (PSP, VIDEO, PICTURES, MUSIC, etc)

stick the unpatched copy of lcs in.
if you have auto run umd off, then on the psp go to the game folder and click UMD.

once the game starts to load, the screen should fill in with a blue color.. if it doesnt, and the game fully loads, hit the HOME key, and try clicking the umd again. (it took me 7 times before it would).

now, once the screen turns blue, the downgrader will start to ask you questions. if you have an patched motherboard (ta-082) it will ask you whether you want to patch it.. select yes.

the psp will then ask you to press x to continue and will shut off.

turn it back on, on the psp go to the game menu again, this time you will see that you have an x.yzupdate.. click it.

this is the installation of the 1.5 firmware, so dont unplug it, dont drop it, dont hit any buttons.. if should take around 2 minutes.. if you leave and come back and the screen is just black, hit the brightness button.

once the downgrade is complete, it may ask you to press something to continue.. do it.

now you are at 1.5.

the pandora battery is basically a trigger for the memory stick.
when the firmware on your psp is corrupt, it wont turn on.. theres no way to access the usb connection, you cant do anything, so the battery sends a signal to the psp to load whats on the memory stick.. the memory stick then reflashes the currupted firmware. it doesnt put a full version of 1.5 on it, so you need to update to a custom firmware, then download the recovery folder, blah blah blah if you dont want the custom firmware, but just want to stay at 1.5.


if you follow exactly what was written here, your risks are 0%, unless you do something wrong, or you mess with the psp while its dowegrading.

the previous answers make me scratch my head...
if this person is on 3.03 why would you tell them to update to a custom firmware?

Wow, all of those solutions are incorrect thus far...First you have to uncover magic reminiscence stick records on-line. Find the ones making use of google/yahoo.Put the ones records on a formatted reminiscence stick. Then use pandora battery writer (homebrew dossier) via putting in place another battery and jogging the application it'll make a pandora battery. easy just go on google and type 3.03 downgrader psp and a find a website and then download the zip i did the same and i got it it is easy to downgrade if you follow intructions that comes with the zip
