I know it's hard not to worry, but if you're doctor wasn't too concerned I wouldn't worry just yet. When you go in for your next visit, tell them you want another ultrasound. Being that they didn't see anything the first time it shouldn't be a problem.

im currently 32 weeks preggo, when i was 8 weeks i had an ultrasound too but i didnt see a baby either, there was just like a black sac on the screen... the dr. assured me everything was fine and even though we couldnt hear the heartbeat at that time you could see the beating on the screen. When i was 12 weeks i went again for an ultrasound and still at that point the baby was sooo tiny it was hard to see. dont be worried your dr. would know if something was wrong... you have to think how tiny the baby is at 8 weeks, even at 15 weeks the baby is still small. Im sure everything is fine.

I think 8 weeks is still pretty early to be able to recognize the baby, unless you've been looking at ultrasounds for years and years and know exactly what to look for. I had a real hard time "seeing" my son on his first ultrasound, and I think I must have been about 10 weeks or so at that point. I wouldn't worry too much about your dates being changed either, especially if they think you're not as far along, then they won't get as frantic when you go one day "overdue". :) It's all just guesswork anyway, and actually sperm can live in your body for up to a week before actually fertilizing your egg, so that could be a factor in the timing issue. Try not to worry, and good luck!

Every pregnancy and developing baby is different. Just because they di not see anything doesn't mean there is a cause for immediate concern. I had my ultrasound at 8 weeks and 3 days. They could see the babies, their arm and leg buds. I even heard both of their heartbeats.
But remember, every baby is different. Have them perform another ultrasound in about 2 weeks or even 3, you should be able to see something by then. Do not stress, it is not good for you or the baby.

I had my first ultrasound around the same time and they couldn't see anything at all that time. I was very scared and they told me to come back in a week. When I came back they found the sac but I didn't hear a heartbeat. It looked like a grey dot to me on the screen but the doctor reckoned he could see arms or whatever. So hopefully its just one of those things, if you didn't have a full bladder at the time that may have contributed. I hope that everything works out for you.
Hold out for the 12 week scan its brilliant.

there is such a thing as a missed miscarriage but lets not think about that. The truth is according to everythign I have read and my dr's , the heart starts beating literally at 8 weeks give or take a day so even if you're 8.5 weeks , perhaps youre just a couple days off which happens as I knew the moment I ovulated ;) but still they had my due date 2 days later, anyway perhaps your baby;s heart started beating the day after your u .s
trust your dr and be sure to go back for a follow up
be well

well if youre 8.5 weeks, youre technically only 6 weeks pregnant, in which case it would be hard to see anything. Im not sure if youre saying that youre 10.5 weeks which would technically make you 8.5 weeks or ... The baby might be just fine just wait it out a bit, it is possible that you might have a blighted ovum, where the egg just stopped growing, but dont think negatively cuz u never know

its ok. I have irregular periods and so I never know when exactly I ovualte or concieve. My son was only a few days overdue, but he came out looking WAY overdue, his skin was white and had that overdue cracked look. Some babies are younger or older, that is normal. When they say 1 month along, you can ASSUME that it is off by two weeks.

You should have seen something. I saw and heard my son's heartbeat at 6.5 weeks. On the ultra sound pic he looked like a grain of rice. They need to check your HCG levels and then check them again in two days to see if they are doubling like they should.

it extremely is purely conceivable that the toddler improve into napping. My mom is an ultrasound tech and he or she's advised me she's had women get fairly stressful whilst they did no longer see the toddler shifting yet that if all the vitals are nice then the little factor is in all danger purely having a snooze.
