ok so im 13 and i want to try out for our local christmas carol play. its public by the way.

ok so im in advanced drama at school and im experienced in all the blocking and stage direction and stuff that like. i want to play either little fan or the Cratchit Children.
im good infront of the audience and i dont usually get nervous.
i have a loud voice(i was in cheer).
kids dont sing or dance at auditions so thats good cuase im not a good singer. but i can sing. just in a big group. what should i do when i try out and how should i dress? i've only auditioned for a couple thigns but didnt make them.
help?
anyone someone who casts plays??

i havent been in too many auditions..but a professional actress came to talk to a group of kids at my school one time, and she said that in auditions you have to be confident, dress nice, be on time, and be so comfortable with the part that they will know you're meant for it. kinda common sense but i hope i helped a little :)

Break a leg!

Its sounds like you know where and when it'll be. Become familiar with the characters (try not to watch the movie, because unconsicously you'll start acting like the movie).

Be big at the auditions. Nothing discourages a direcotr more than a person who has the voice of a mouse when its not called for.

I guess you know where and when the auditions are., Just have on of your folks take you and when you audition, you will probably read from the script. Just do the best you can. Have fun and break a leg! Doc
