Wizard of Oz....
That lil guy hung himself in the background when they were walking the yellow brick road. ..pretty crazy if you ask me, especially since it was real.

This is going to sound really tacky, but it's the scariest I've seen. The movie Signs keeps you in suspense a lot of the time and has really startling scary parts. The kind of scary where the music goes from kind of calm and creepy to really loud and something scary happens. The kind that makes you scream suddenly and then not sleep at night. I don't want to give anything away about the movie if you haven't seen it, but man,,, parts of it are crazy scary.
PS don't watch it alone in a dark basement like I did... pretty much that works with any scary movie, I sound really dumb right now...

It depends on your age. When I was a child The Screaming Skull did it for me...I kept seeing that skull wherever I looked. On the other hand, my brother's was The Exorcist.
As a young adult, it would be The Omen; The Amityville Horror or Poltergeist.
Later...now....it would be The Fall of the House of Usher; The Haunting (the original movie) or The Ring (number 1). Honorable mention goes to The Legend of Sleepy Hollow with Johnny Depp.
BTW: Another honorable mention goes to Jaws (as a teenager)...the book, not the movie. How dumb was this: I read it while sitting on the beach?!?

A real scary/creepy film? Tthe Japanese film Kariro (aka Pulse. But don't confuse it with the poor American remake). A sad and distrubing movie, in my opinion (and the opinion of many others). A bit confusing first time around, but still understandable enough to creep you out.

The Exorcist - I'm still scared I'll walk into my room and see her there. That movie freaked me out and I love scary films.

The grudge 2 was creepy, though I only saw about two minutes of it. Me and my friend were so scared we hid under a jacket, my other friend was like, I don't know them...Or the ring...the part with the music box...I use to get those a lot. Now there in my closet under the stairs.
