I love Elvis too! My only regret is that I never got to see him in person! I collect as much stuff of Elvis that I can. I watch him on dvds almost every night. My family gets aggravated at me but who cares. If he is still alive, I would still love him. He was a great person who loved God, his fans, and his family. If he is dead, I will still love him for all he has given to us. His music is the best and no one can ever do better than he did. I am glad to hear that other people love Elvis as much as I do!

He has his hits and my friends mother loves the man but to me he's just not my type of music however he did start rock (some people may argue that though) and I love rock...so in a way I do like Elvis just not a huge fan.

He was really good up to about 1965,so that's a good ten-year-run. i thought the soundtrack album for Viva Las Vegas was his last great record; "Devil in Disguise" his last great single. But Elvis was Elvis. He was the guy who started it all.

Funny you should ask.
An old buddy and I discussed this
very subject, not so long ago.
Elvis was around in the early 50's,
but he didn't become a household
name until 1956.
Later, his hit "All Shook Up," became
the theme song for our ball team, which
was aptly named, The Chasers.
Mostly, the other team hit the ball, and
we chased it.
Needless to say, Elvis Presley went a lot
farther in his career, than we did in ours.

Elvis Presley had talent, no doubt. In his prime, he was one of the most watchable and personable entertainers. Then he exploited it and was exploited by it and died poorly in a mean way. He was not a god, he was simply an entertainer whose excesses in his career and life finally brought him down. Oldest 'Hollywood' story in the world, never a happy ending. Some darn fine tunes though...and that is something special to remember.

Elvis is my 1st true love, he never hurt me and I wept like a wife when he died. He never knew how much i loved him but it didn't matter, my love was pure and chaste. I saw him once in concert and my life was complete forever.
