You need to consult with an attorney in this matter. Be sure he is shown the facebook conversations. Don't allow your son to communicate with her any more on facebook, or call her by phone. This girl was probably fine with being friends with him, until her friends and team mates met him and probably started teasing her about hanging out with someone that is not quite like everyone else. I don't think these parents are blowing anything out of proportion, however. I think that someone (either the daughter or her friends) are telling the parents a bunch of crap, why I don't know. I do, however, know that some teenage girls can't do without the drama and base their friendships on what other's think of the person they befriend. However, are you sure that your son isn't wandering by her house while on his way to a friends home? My daughter was harrassed by a young man with some issues that had a crush on her. He followed her home from school, would walk up and down our street, and approach her at school. She was not nice to him, in fact probably hurt his feelings with her attitude, but I eventually had to go to school and report this as I feared for her safety. I am NOT saying that your son is doing anything wrong, but just be sure that you know what he is doing and where he is before you accuse them of making false accusations.

I don't do the stalking. I have a stalker and he is great! I couldn't ask for a better stalker. Sometimes he even walks with me in the halls of P&S.

well here is my story that recently happen. I was talking to someone for over a year on the internet. we had made plans to meet face to face and there were times that when I logged on the computer they would send me a message. as nice as I am I answer all messages. They started dating someone and we remained friends. then they broke up with someone and I saw that someone on a dating site the same day they broke up. I accidentally mentioned it not thinking I guess and to try to let them know that I was on there side. it upset them I apologized and we did not talk for a few days but we managed to get back on track. that same day one of there Facebook friends who lives in Canada sent me a friend request I accepted and 3 minutes later this person sent me a instant message stating " i am the only page you need to look at.....because I am the only one that matters". I came back with a smart alleck remark but they did not respond to me. then my friend and I started having problems. every morning around 9 am my time I would send IM through Facebook to several Facebook friends including this friend telling them I hope that have a great day trying to cheer people up. granted i work 60 hours a week plus run a business and this was one thing I did at the same time everyday for over three weeks . well this friend started saying are you stalking me , because every morning lately I get a message from you at the same time. " are you watching when i get on the phone or on messenger' are you stalking me. So i stopped sending messages in the morning and then one night a few days later i sent them a message to see how they where doing. we talked about the stalking thing and they said that they are an "expert" at knowing when people stalk people. all of this came out of the blue with no explanation. Then about a week later I am on a dating personal site . this site would match me to someone that has common interest. It pulled up there dating profile. It will show who looks at your profile. So i advised them of what happened and they again accused me of stalking them. I advised no . so we did not talk and then a few days later they unfriended me on Facebook and blocked me all together. It hurt me so bad because no one has ever acted this way towards me. That friend of there in Canada unfriended me and blocked me as well two days later. I ended up in therapy for all of this with everyone telling me I was not stalking them. this is my story . I hope everyone will respond to this. since this mess has happened I barely go online now and speak with anyone.
