As I was reading your question; I really realized how similar you and I are. You described me perfectly. I've always felt this way. I have a learning disability, (Dyslexia) and that has always made me struggle more than others. I have a very low reading level, and I'm unable to comprehend the stuff I read. (It takes me absolutely forever to read and understand things.) I get so unbelievably stressed with my school work that I break down crying almost every night. I'm in a class called 'K&E' for English and Social right now. I'm not sure what that stands for, but It's for those students that "learn differently." In a nut shell, It's for dumbasses. I feel so stupid everytime I'm in that class- there's around 6 students and we all have Dyslexia or something similar. The teachers talk to me like I'm from another planet, & It's awful. I still have to do the same curriculum, but I'm taught differently. My friends all have their 90%'s on almost everything, and they complain about it. It makes me feel worse. I get under 65 on every assigment I do, other than math- I'm actually really skilled with math, (I take 11th grade pre-calc course, I'm in 10th grade) but I'm usually unable to show my work because of my Dyslexia. I'm really talented with art and art related things, but I'm a horrible student. I've always been like that. No matter how hard I study, I never improve. :( I'm Asian too. You should hear the comments I get at school. >.< Anyways, yeah, I totally know how you feel. Don't let it get you down, though. Intelligence shouldn't be measured by grades at school; they really don't determine anything. Edit: I totally know what you mean about your brother. My siblings are all naturally smart, and I'm known as 'the dumb one' in my family. Oh, and also- I think that having the ambition to learn is way better than just flying through everything without trying. Work ethic is important too, and knowing that you *want* to learn is definitely a good thing. Most teens don't give a sh-t about high school.

I was horrible at math. I never averaged over a C in math, not even with all the tutoring and studying in the world. I loved life science and biology though.

DDP, this dumb engineering class we're forced to take in freshman year. It's so stressful!
And gym, the teachers are so bossy and like GO RUN TEN LAPS AROUND THAT PARK OUTSIDE! I can't even do a push-up unfortunately, so i'm so scared, but so glad i haven't had gym yet officially. Now it's just contracts, then i had gym tomorrow and friday, but school is closed!

English is hard for me. I don't understand where all the rules come from. I'm better at science, math, history, and any shop class.

Math! What the heck! I sucked. And yet when I got a tutor, I would excell at it. Then forget everything I learned and drop again.

One word: MATH, which is wierd, because now people think I'm some sort of math wiz because I always tell them their change before the computer at my register does! Does that say more about me, or the computer?
: )

Math was my weakest subject. I barely managed to pass college algebra. My favorite subject was Spanish though.
