Boracay. I went two years ago when I visited there. I was awsome =) One of the best beaches I went to ever.

Boracay is a tropical island located approximately 315km (200 miles) south of Manila and 2km off the northwest tip of the island of Panay in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It is one of the country's most popular tourist destinations. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak (3 of the 17 barangays which make up the municipality of Malay), and is under the administrative control of the Philippine Tourism Authority in coordination with the Provincial Government of Aklan.

Baguio City and Tagaytay.

Baguio is, in fact, called the Summer Capital of the Philippines. Because of its altitude the temperature is generally 10 degrees lower than in Metro Manila. When in Baguio, you can do a short drive down to the beaches of La Union - - actually a day trip. Downside: it is at least 5 hours (when traffic is very good) to sometimes 8 hours, driving from Manila.

Tagaytay is the next best vacation place, and is, to some, the top spot by sheer proximity to Metro Manila. Thus, you get the cool mountain air, the comforts of city living (Tagaytay is very cosmopolitan) and is actually just a short drive from Makati or Alabang. I practically live there.

Naturally, I spend my summers (and Christmases, and almost all the long weekends) in both places, alternately.

It depends on what you mean by Summer. The US Summer is June-August.... Philippine Summer is March to start of June (the hottest part of the year). Here In Philippines, I'd suggest you spend the early part of the year in Baguio, and when the clouds roll in and rainy season starts, Tagaytay (that's where I live). The temperature averages 2-4 degrees Celsius cooler than Manila

Do not listen to all these goodie wannabes and stay away from the Philippines. The absence of a male companion makes you and your kids a prime target for kidnappers. And no I'm not a troll. I am just telling the truth and the rest of the answerers know this. They don't want you to be scared which is a good thing, but I don't want you to be misinformed either. Good day madam.

Definitely the beaches and the malls in manila..... The MegaMall and the Shangrila Mall and dont forget the Mall of Asia..... This is where I go most of the time during the summer...... It is alot of fun and considering the sizes of the mall you could easily spend one day at these malls each...... Yes it is that big..... Hope this helps you and have a great summer in the philippines.....

I'd say Bukidnon for the mountains, Iligan for the 20+ waterfalls, Cagayan de Oro for the rapids and Davao for the beach resorts. Security wise not good,SAYANG all the beauty but dangerous.
