I always cut my own hair, so problem solved. I was a cosmetologist once. Sounds like there was a problem with the chair, the pump on the chair, the stylist was a newby, or something to do with the stylist's height. Hope you didn't leave them a tip (if you were unhappy), or gave them your "tip for the day".
