I am NOT ABLE to copy anything to a Floppy disc or to any type of disc any longer. There is a sign that always comes up that says,"cannot create or replace" and then at the end it states
" the directory or file cannot be created."
It acts the exact same way no matter what I try to switch over. What is wrong and how do I fix it? H=E=L=P!! PLEASE!!

How old is the floppy? They don't last forever -- but first see if the drive is working properly:

click Start
Settings
Control Panel
System
Hardware
Device Manager
right-click on drive A and select Properties
it will tell you if the drive is all right
if it is
then the floppy is no longer any good

Your floppy disk drive may have become inoperative. If you feel comfortable opening your computer case, check the ribbon cable and power cable to see that they are secure to the floppy drive. If they are secure, then it is probably time to buy a replacement floppy disk drive. The part is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace. The labor to have someone else do this for you may cost more than the part itself.

WARNING- THE FOLLOWING IS RISKY. USE COMPLETE CARE Generally, you would not need your floppy drive, but some ppl still use them. Unplug ur computer, and press the power button to drain the last of the electricity.Try unplugging the power cable to the floppy drive, which is the one with the many coloured cables. Blow into the socket, and push it back in, the same way you found it, but firmly in place. try your floppy drive again. if it does not work, repeat. if after two tries, take your computer to a specialist.

Are you sure you don't have the disk write-protected? It's that little sliding tab in one of the upper corners of the disk. I forget which way is which, but whether it is exposing the little hole or covering it up, try sliding it so that the opposite is the case.

All those error messages will occur if you try to write to a disk that is write-protected.

If this doesn't work, and if another disk doesn't work, your disk drive is probably shot. They don't last forever.
