well simple tips are get to your point quick and try and keep it as short as possible *not too short as you dont want it too look like a 5 min job), they are busy people (even though it never seems like it)

as for the structure:

1)introduction (very short simply state the software name and what it does, and why its needed

2)say its advantages

3)its disadvantages (this is important as they need to see that the advantages outweigh the negative sides and will show them you have looked at all aspects rather than just saying we should get it because........

4)its price this would most likely come under disadvantages, dont say the price too soon as if its to expensive management will just discard the report and all your effort will be wasted

5)the training required, some members will find the new software hard to use so management would want to no how hard the software is to use and what training is required and the possible cost of this

6) your conclusion, in this simply weigh the advantages and disadvantages and say how beneficial it will be by saying it will boost work output by 20% (facts such as this will greatly keep thier intrest beucase they will be getting more work done (just a made up figure), oviously you want it to seems that the software will be a great help

i wish you luck

oh and also try and use as much data (numerical and text) as possible as its the facts that they will use for thier own evaulation

and i may have missed part of the possible structure out, but I have outlined the main structure so you can add parts as you feel necessary

and as for the main structure (im using the assumption that they want a written report rather than an oral report), don’t use different text styles nor colures as its unprofessional

if you want anymore help or anything feel free to contact me

If you don't have the program at home or have access to it from a friend, see if you can download a trial. Then, create something spectacular pertaining to the company and stress that this is what the program could do for them.
