if so, how often does he call you? The past 3 days I talked to him for 5 minutes during his lunch, 5 minutes before he went to dinner and then 5 minutes before he went to bed. Doesn't that seem kinda fishy...when all he kept talking about before he left was how he was gonna miss me and our daughter? Now I'm pregnant and I'm getting stressed out about it. He's with his co-workers all day, they are gone for 2 hours for dinner and then he smokes a cigar with them...which took like a half an hour today. You think he would get enough of his co-workers? I think in actuality he likes his break from me.

I'm in a band and I talk to my wife and children EVERY day when I'm out of town. It's important to keep them in the loop.

However, sitting in a hotel room for an entire day can drive you crazy. In many cases, I have spent my afternoon surfing the net but sometimes one has to at least walk around.

If he's with his male co-workers and they are just sitting around eating dinner, smoking cigars and in the office all day... YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN!

Your stressed state will drive you nuts and will result in a very nervous baby.

No I don't find it fishy at all. My husband travels a lot and he calls me often each day but unless there is an issue to cover, our conversations are not that long. He wants to make sure he tells me he misses me and loves me. My husband is in China right now and we talk on Skype three times a day and e-mail in between and there is a 12 hr. time difference. You do the best you can when you travel when there are other business obligations you have to cater to. So don't stress out if he is calling you 3 times a day. Be happy.

My husband goes out of town for work every once in a while; just last month he was out of state for a week. We don't usually talk on the phone, but we e-mail each other daily, and sometimes text. He rarely calls, unless it's some sort of an emergency.

Well, does he normally like to talk on the phone or not??? I don't really like talking on the phone that much. I wouldn't talk just for 5 minutes to my wife though. I would talk longer I'm sure. If he's busy though or tired, he may not have it in him. Don't necessarily suspect something is fishy, but ask him next time he calls why he can't talk a little longer to you ok???

Next time you talk to him. Tell him how you feel. No my husband doesn't go out of town on business. Mine is a going to church freak. He goes about 4 times a week. And thinks it wrong to miss. All the time you say yours spends with his work buddies. Mine spends with his so called "brothers and sisters"

There's nothing wrong with taking a break every now and again!
Let him have his fun - you're going to have him the rest of your life, you can deal with this for a few days.
I know it's even harder because your pregnant and feeling like a crazy lady, but just try to remember he'll be home with you again soon.

my hubby was in the navy, and they go away from months at a time...so talking to him a few short times in a few days is a blessing...don't always be suspicious. not all men are pigs. and it is ok for each spouse to need and take time away from the other for guys or girls night out.
