my sister got a yorkie and she bites so much. its not like shes mad, its just like you kiss her, and she bites you lips, sometimes she will lick, or you pet her, and she bites your hands, she always bites feet and hands. she chases my poodle at my dads house and scares her, but its like she wants to play with her, then she bites her tail. she bites my cats tail also. we yell at her, and hit her butt, we do not hurt her, but nothing seems to work. she bites our ears, nose, anything she can get. she doesn't try to tear up papers or anything, just our body parts. she has a ton of toys and bones to chew on, she just doesn't listen. we praise her and tell her shes good when she listens to us, but that doesnt happen often. what can we do to make her stop biting?

First of all don't hit your puppy. They don't understand it. They think you're just petting them too hard. The best thing is to grab her by the loose skin on the back of her neck (the scruff)and give her a firm no in a very deep tone, so it sounds like a growl.

I owned a Sheltie puppy who did this. I used to grab her gently around the muzzle holding her mouth closed and saying "no" in a low deep tone. If she struggled I would grab the scruff of her neck and say a firm "no." After she stopped struggling I would massage her muzzle to calm her and provide the proper mouth stimulation she needed. After awhile she stopped.

What's labored first-class in my apartment is once they do it's the dominant "puppy". Bop 'em at the nostril, say no in a harsh tone. If they do it once more take the muzzle on your hand and say no once more. Gripping at the nostril is some way many puppies exhibit dominance and displeasure and so much pets opt for up on it. If that also does not get by way of the following she bites say no very harshly and placed her on her again speedily to exhibit you are the boss and that that used to be no longer the correct factor to do. It might scare her a little bit bit however higher to scare her a little bit now then ought to manage her biting a neighbor or buddy whilst she's older and its no longer always going to be out of dog playfulness. I hate to scare my puppies however they have to understand you are the boss/dominant one within the courting.

I have a yorkie too and she's 3 and still does it.They're just like this but don't do anything to hurt her. When she bites you put her down straight away and don't give her any attention until she stops on goes and lies down.Don't be tempted to pick her up.They love attention and she'll soon learn she won't get any if she bites.Start as soon as poss as the longer you leave it the harder it'll get to train her.

Unfortunately, that's how many dogs play. They learn it from being in the litter and for some, it's a hard thing to break. However, you can break her from it. Everyone who is in contact with the dog should carry a watergun with them and squirt her any time she gets carried away. It won't take her long to figure out that biting is a bad idea. And you and your family will look so cool with your watergun holsters!

When your dog bites you, don't let her take her mouth away from wherever she bites you, such as your finger. You can do that by keeping on pushing your finger or hand toward her and keep your finger in her mouth when she pulls back. That will discourage her from biting, and it usually works after a couple of weeks.

Whenever he tries to bite grab his ear and twist it a bit so it hurts him not to much but just enough to learn he shouldn't do it. Another way is whenever he does it or just before he does spray him in the face with water in a spray bottle, and if he does not stop after one spray, spray until he stops.
