The mother of my son was ordered to pay a $500 bond to the court due to her noncompliance. The order states that if she violates the visitation order, the bond will be forfeited. If she is non-compliant, does the court then get to keep the money, what would be the next step the court might take on her? Is there a time frame? Any answers would be great!!!

Short answer, she has to deposit CASH with the court. If she breaks the rules, they keep the money. The order to post the bond should have the answers to your questions. If taking her money doesn't work, the next step is usually time behind bars.
