Yes. I didn't know who Diana was until she died, but watching her funeral on TV I cried buckets. Mother Teresa died around the same time and have cried a lot for her since. I also cried when Aliyah, Lisa Left-Eye Lopes, Steve Irwin, Ingmar Bergman, Luciano Pavarotti and the footballer Puerta died, and for the girl from Holby City, she was called Laura but I don't know her surname. I also cried over Anna Nicole Smith and Lolo Ferrari, not at the time but since they have both died just becase I've realised how screwed up they were. I just cry a lot these days!

John Lennon - partly because a friend had been held up recently and the violence in the world seemed overwhelming.

Raul Julia - because he was a good actor and came off interviews as a nice guy and seemed way too young to go.

River Phoenix - again, way too young.

Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers) - because I'd watch his show and feel better even as an adult and because he was so brave at the end of his life.

Sure. Princess Diana, John Lennon. Even though I'd never met either of them, I felt deeply connected to them. And there was a piece of me missing when they died -- I knew I'd never get the chance to meet can talk with them. John's music had fueled my dreams of becoming a musician (which I've done) and Diana represented for me all that was great and wonderful about life and the world.
