Yes the slope is the 4 in front of x. To be exact the slope is 4/1, or up 4 over 1

Yes it is. Whenever you use the slope-intercept form to get information like slope and y-intercept, be absolutely certain that you have +1y on the left side. Any coefficient other than +1, and you're in trouble!

yes.

think of it like this equation:
y=mx+b

y [or f(x)] is the y coordinate
m is slope
x is x coordinate
b is y-intercept

so in your equation,
4 is the slope
and the other 4 is the y-intercept.
