(3t + 1) / 4 = (3/4)t - 5
has no solution.
(3t + 1) / 4 = 3/(4t) - 5
becomes
t(3t + 1) = - 20t
3t^2 + 20t + 3 = 0
t = (- 10 ±√(100 - 36)
t = - 10 ±√64
t = - 18, - 2

(3t + 1) / 4 = 3 / (4t - 5)
becomes
(4t - 5)(3t + 1) = 12
12t^2 - 11t - 18 = 0
t = (11 ± √(121 + 864)) / 24
t = (11 ± √985) / 24
t = (11 - √985) / 24, (11 + √985) / 24
t = - 0.8493629, 1.766030

Is the send half 3/(4t) -5 or 3/(4t-5)?
