Greenifier is the key to one of the best ways to make money in the game.

If you drop a batch of greenifier on a just-planted seed the crop that seed will produce will be one level higher than the seed used to create it. Greenifier will not work after the planet has sprouted. Greenifier also only works on one square at a time, meaning that if you through one greenifier on a planted square, only that one square will get the benefit. If you use greenifier on a re-growing plant then that plant will always gain the befit; as long as you don't chop the plant down.

The second requirement is just as simple. On the 7th (the second holiday) of any season talk to the guy that hangs out outside the park. He will sell you the seed maker for 1000 gold. You will find the seed maker in your house.

What you do is plant a crop and use the greenifier on a single square. When you harvest the crop, the leveled up crop will be in a different inventory box than all the others. Take that +1 crop and throw it into the seed maker. This will turn that crop into a seed of the same level. You should then plant that seed and use another greenifier to get to the next level of crop. Repeat until you are planting level 10 crops.

How does this make you money? When you sell something, you get its selling cost MULTIPLIED by its level. For isntance if a level 1 radish sells for 160 gold, then a level 10 radish goes for 1600! Level 10 is the maximum any crop can get to, even if its seed is a higher level. I would use the dungeons to grow your crops for this sort of thing, since their season never changes.

This can net you massive amounts of money, especially for fast re-growing crops like strawberries and sweet potatoes. It isn't the best way to do this for something like pineapple, which takes a VERY long time to grow. It also has no effect on fodder grass.

You can also level up seeds by trading them. If you use the shell on the beach to trade with other players, the traded object gains one level. You can trade back and forth between yourself and a friend to get level 10 seeds very quickly.

Equipt it in your tools slot and use it on one tile of seeds. IT ONLY WORKS ON SEEDS THAT HAVE NOT SPROUTED. You can only use one greenifier per tile and it raises the plants level by 1. If you want higher level crops you'll have to use a seed maker also (high level crops produce high level seeds)
Higher level items sell for whatever they usually sell for times their level

Use it on just planted crops.. when the plant grows, place it in the seed maker... and the resulting seeds will bear a plant a level higher than the last one. Repeat this process to raise your plant levels.

Harvest moon DS has soooo many bugs in it, it will upset you at one point and you will want to throw it through a window. But then you just start over again.
