No no no, not yet. Don't worry yet. As long as your last checkup was fine and everything don't worry. Obviously this is your first pregnancy and you could have already felt your baby, but didn't know it. When they're that young it really does feel like gas, and once you give birth, you'll be amazed at how gas feels like a baby moving inside that you KNOW isn't there...lol. It usually takes longer for you to feel first movements, and usually that doesn't happen until the end of the 4th month on into the 5th month. DON'T GET SCARED, which I know...I know....how can you not be....but all is well until someone says it's not. Just give it some time. You'll feel that little booger moving around and then you won't be able to get him/her to quit while you're trying to get that rest you so desperately need!!! :-)

I am also 4 months pregnant and I barely feel it move, usually just in the morning when my stomach is not full and when I am sitting in a chair and bend over too far (accidently, of course). Don't worry, you are supposed to feel it during the 20th week or something. I had an ultrasound and that baby was moving everywhere but I could not feel it. Don't worry!!

I was 20 weeks before I felt my daughter move. If this is your first pregnancy then it still may be to early to feel the baby move. I wouldn't worry too much. As long as your doctor appointments are going as they should and your doctor isn't concerned, you should just relax. Many times when you are relaxed and not thinking about feeling the baby move is when it will happen.

The reason that no one has the same information for you is that there is a wide range of normal. "Most" women feel fetal movement (quickening) at 18 weeks if it is their first baby (i.e. 18 weeks from your last menstrual period -- LMP). Some multiparas (those who have already carried a child to term) feel movement earlier, simply because they know what it feels like. The normal range is 16 to 20 weeks (LMP).

Fetal movement feels like "little mice tumbling around in your lower abdomen" or "little flutters that stop just as they started" or "gas bubbles" or any number of different ways women can describe it.

Is this your first baby? You need to look for a tiny little butterfly brush right near your bladder. It feels like you're passing a little bubble of gas. Maybe you can feel it now that you know where and what to look for.

P.S. 17 weeks is the average time Mom feels baby.

no, everyone is different. I started feeling the baby move at around 22 weeks or so. was the heartbeat checked at your last appointment? If it was (and usually they check everytime) and you heard it that should reassure you that your baby is doing well, so just because you are not feeling it doesn't automatically mean there is a problem.

Typically 20 weeks, for first time moms. But, it differs, depending on different women. Weight may play a factor, too (if you're heavier, you probably won't be able to feel your baby as early). Just be patient, you'll soon feel your baby moving.
