I enjoy being "direct" when the situation calls for it, as I find it a rare quality in others. Being direct with tact doesn't have to be confrontational if you can control your tounge, and yes, humor helps to deliver the subtle barb of truth.... but only if the person has the intelligence to understand the humor.

I will say what I want to say, and then laugh out loud ......
the person would get confused whether I was serious or joking ....
However I would have passed on the message with that confusion
