2x-1=11 all you do is add 1 to 11 then take 2x and now 12, because we added 1 to 11. And divide and x=6

add 1 to both sides and that give you 2x=12 divide the two into the 12 and your answer is x=6

divide the answer (12) by the number times X (2) = 6
