Alright, I really like to sing, and I wouldn't mind acting, because it sounds like SO much fun, the only problem is, I have horrible stage fright. People usually just tell me to get over it, but I can't! Now, my friend really wants me to join their theater, and i REALLY want to, but stage fright has taken over my life! Can someone PLEASE help me?

I used to go to dance and at the end of the year we would do a dance on a stage in front of millions of people. I was terribly nervous the first time. But why care what people think of you? If they are mean to you just think this is your first time they can't expect you to do the best in the world and they should try it if they think that. Also always remember to smile! I was in a play once and i watched it over again on a movie that was taken and i didn't smile once :) That also caused me to forget my lines once so smiling helps!! Just do your best and don't worry what others think! Good Luck! =D

acting take courage. but if you do what an actor is supposed to do on stage, and that is be the character, you will not have stage fright, because the character does not have it. stage fright comes from thinking about ones self rather than being the character. it is that simple. if you are well rehearsed and know your lines cold, there is no fear.

I used to have stage fright so I know what its like, to get over it, you just have to practice, go to your community theatre, and audition for some plays, whether you get in or not, it will help. another good thing to do is to practice in front of friends and family, they'll support you no matter what, so you won't have to worry. Actually, no one cares, just so long as you do your best.
